Started off to do a short hike in Waimea Canyon but it looked like it was raining there so we opted out.
Visited Salt Pond County Park, the Glass Beach and then drove down the pothole filled road to the beautiful and secluded beach on the Maha’ulepu Beach and went to Kawailoa Bay.
On the way back that afternoon we stopped to see the Hanapepe Valley lookout, the Menehune Ditch and the swinging footbridge across the Waimea River and met Ash and Madhu who had hike the Awa’awapuhi/Nu’alolo Trail that day.
Drove out to Polihale Beach for a breathtaking sunset.
